Divin Intervention
This past month has been a bit up and down. I was on my final stretch to finishing my first quarter at pierce along with dealing with an unknown source of floating stomach pain. I went in to the dotor a few times, the ran tests, they did scans, yet nothing seemed to be coming up. This went on for about a month untill last friday. Last friday I had the lovely experience of passing a kidney stone. I must say I have never felt pain such as that ever in my life...some people might say how terrible it was that I had to start my winter break or " That must have hurt" Yes, Yes it did but I am so thankful that Heavenly Father postponed this occurance untill after my math final. That was no mere coincidence, that was devine intervention right there...I am so thankful for the blessing of knowing that I am never alone and that Christ knows EXACTLY what I am going through and he hears and answers my prayers . I know I am never along and that He is fully aware of everything that goes on in my life... I love the Gospel and it is the light in my life.

True Love
“I finally understood what true love meant...love meant that you care for another person's happiness more than your own, no matter how painful the choices you face might be.” ― Nicholas Sparks(DEAR JOHN)
Alma 13:28 But that ye would humble yourselves before the Lord, and call on his holy name, and watch and pray continually, that ye may not be tempted above that which ye can bear, and thus be led by the Holy Spirit, becoming humble, meek, submissive, patient, full of love and all long-suffering;
Through God we can do all things :)
Through God we can do all things :)

Stranded
Today I was invited to lunch by a friend i have in my English 101 class and his wife. On the way to the restaurant as we encountered a car in front of us that had broken down in the middle of the road. We began to do as the other cars in front of us had and pass the car without a second thought. In the process of passing the car up I realized I knew the woman sitting in the front seat of the car from my ASL class I attend . The look on her face was of worry and concern as she sat stranded in the middle of the street with her one year old buckled up in his car seat. Upon the realization that i knew the person my friend turned the car around and we headed back in the direction of the stranded car. As we pull up to push her car the look on her face was priceless and of thankfulness. Pushing the car only took about five minutes out of our busy day but made all the difference to the young mom and her son.
This occurrence really got me thinking about how often we shove off helping another person because we ether claim to not have enough time or believe someone else will do the things we " do not have time for", and yet little acts of kindness may only take a few minutes out of your crowded life. I think it is incredible how Christ was always thinking of others. Never once did he push aside the need for charity for a selfish thought of " I don't have enough time" . Christ made time for the things that really mattered. This quality is something I am doing my best to work on as I struggle with my busy schedule of school, friend, family, and church. Although I am busy, I know that making time to help others will bless me and help me in my attempts to widen my knowledge. I felt this was a real life example of Good, Better, Best that one of the general authorities talked about i a few conferences back. When we make time for the things that are Best in our lives and try our HARDEST... then we can find strength in knowing Heavenly Father will always make up the difference some how.
Another thought I had from this experience today was the fact that maybe if I had not recognized the person in the drivers seat... maybe we would not have pulled over to help... and yet we all once knew each other when we were in heaven. In a previous general conference talk I can recall the words of an apostle who stated what a beautiful reunion it would be if the Vail were to be lifted right here, right now, and how we would embrace each other because there would not be a single person on this earth we would not recognize. I know this to be true that when we keep in mind that every person on this earth today is a Son and Daughter of God... it gets a whole lot easier to love people in their imperfect state while on this earth. While remembering this I realized that if I were to keep this in mind , how much more willing I would be in my day to day life to help others in their difficult times.
I love The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with all my heart, and it brings joy to my soul :)

Count Your Many Blessings
Today in seminary I asked by Sis.Bennett to lead the opening song, part of this included picking out the opening song. I was flipping through the Hymn book and found this one...
"When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
Refrain
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,
And you will keep singing as the days go by.
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,
And you will keep singing as the days go by.
Refrain
When you look at others with their lands and gold,
Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold;
Count your many blessings. Wealth can never buy
Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high.
Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold;
Count your many blessings. Wealth can never buy
Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high.
Refrain
So, amid the conflict whether great or small,
Do not be disheartened, God is over all;
Count your many blessings, angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end.
Do not be disheartened, God is over all;
Count your many blessings, angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end.
Refrain"
-Words: Johnson Oatman, Jr.,-Music: Edwin O. Excell
I know this is a Hymn that a lot of people know, but this time i took the time to read all four verses. When we sing the hymns I think at times we forget that the whole point of singing it is to learn the meaning....So I took the time to read the lyrics and found it very applicable to how I have been feeling lately. My math class has been a bit difficult and often has left me wanting to drop the class...I have refrained from doing so because this song is a BIG reminder that through God we CAN do ALL thing. Nothing is our of our reach. If God can move a mountain , then helping me to pass my math class does not seem so big of a thing to ask of him as long as I do my part. I love the gospel SO much and I do not know what I would do without it. I am so blessed for having a family who is centered around the gospel and I can someday enter the temple and have an eternal family of my own :) because I would not have it any other way :)

Why a Blog
“I lived in heaven a long time ago, it is true;
Lived there and loved there with people I know. So did you.
Then Heavenly Father presented a beautiful plan,
All about earth and eternal salvation for man.”
Lived there and loved there with people I know. So did you.
Then Heavenly Father presented a beautiful plan,
All about earth and eternal salvation for man.”
-I lived in Heaven primary song
This is why I am here, writing this blog, because I made one decision, a very BIG decision to come here to earth and receive a body. This has got to be the BEST decision I have ever made. My life is so important and everyone else's as well :)
Life is to short to dwell on unhappy things, so my current assignment for myself is to write something positive every time something negative happens...because our trials are meant to make us stronger.
"Heavenly Father makes no mistakes, there are no accidents, we are no accident. We have a grand purpose in this life. He loves us so much and knows our trials and desperately wishes to take them away but he can't; if he did take them away there would be no point in being here, in learning, in becoming the best US possible..."- Me :D
Expanding on that I received a hand out in Young Womens just today that matched what i just said a couple days a go :)
"Have you ever thought: “I’m not very important so what I say or do will never really be noticed? What can I offer that will make any difference? What can I do that will truly help others, cause their lives to be different, to be better? Do I actually have any worthwhile talents? Is there anything I can do to reach another in need? I’m not that special. If I don’t help, someone else will come along and do a better job than I can do.”
One of the greatest challenges is to overcome the feeling that we are unimportant, that we are not special and unique. Do you think for a moment that Heavenly Father would have sent one of His children to this earth by accident, without the possibility of a significant work to perform?...
My dear friends, you are a royal generation. You were preserved to come to the earth in this time for a special purpose. Not just a few of you, but all of you. There are things for each of you to do that no one else can do as well as you. If you do not prepare to do them, they will not be done. Your mission is unique and distinctive for you. Please don’t make another have to take your place. He or she can’t do it as well as you can. If you will let Him, I testify that our Father in Heaven will walk with you through the journey of life and inspire you to know your special purpose here " -Bishop H. Burk Peterson
I love this quote because it sums up why we are all here and to never take for granted why we are here and why we are given the trials we are given. I love being weird, different, unique,crazy etc... what ever you want to call it I am me and I never want to be anyone else because God created me to be just the way I am. I may not be perfect but I am UNIQUELY ME :D
